In my experience, being a cinematographer / director of photography is half an artistic endeavor and half making the day. Both could take a lifetime to master, with the latter often being the most challenging for productions. I love the challenge and energy of ambitious productions. My philosophy is that with rigorous, nose-to-the-grindstone pre-production even the most complex and daunting productions can be accomplished and, importantly, be a lot of fun. Creating a positive, team-focused and fun environment on set is the way forward!
